Hey, I'm Joan. And that’s me back in 2000 standing on top of a glacier somewhere in the Rocky Mountains.
I was overweight, suffering from fatigue, ill health and terrible blood sugar problems.
I’d gotten as far as I could from reading what I thought were quality 'health books'.
Even today I remember it vividly...I was doing terrible!
I was scared my quality of life was only going to suffer more if I didn't do something about it. And I was right.
So I ditched all the poor health advice from those books, went back to school, and I got my Master's in Nutrition.
But the biggest change was that I got myself healthy...for the first time in my adult life.
Now I'm happy to say all those health problems – including those nasty blood sugar woes – are long gone!
And all those stupid things I learned from poor-quality 'health books', written by non-qualified people...those are long gone too!
Now, many years later...and many pounds lighter...I look back on what my life was like before...
...and boy am I relieved I was good to myself (and my family) by getting healthy.
And now I’m helping other women get healthy too!
That's why I’m a proud Member of the American Association of Diabetes Educators.
That way I can stay up to date on all the latest research and strategies for helping women with Prediabetes and Insulin Resistance...women just like you.
And that's why I started Power In The Group. Yay!!!
After all, our purpose at Power In The Group is to guide and support women to regain and nourish their health without all the confusion...
...so they enjoy the richest quality of life for themselves, with their families, and in our society.
And our mission?
To help 100,000 women reverse their Prediabetes or Insulin Resistance through new lifestyle habits they can easily continue for life.

I thought my lifestyle is moderate until i realized with Joan's help that i live an extreme sedentary life and i will need to put efforts to stay healthy. Now I have started losing weight and i am more productive. Joan has been so kind to me. She showed confidence in me when i was full of doubt on changing my habits. I am grateful to her and she will always be the real reason for my fitness.
