Artificial Sweeteners And Prediabetes

Artificial Sweeteners And Prediabetes

When it comes to Artificial Sweeteners And Prediabetes, you shouldn’t eat or drink them. Read on to find out how this junk affects your body (in a super bad way)…

Your body does not like Artificial Sweeteners!

This is what you can expect when you eat or drink Artificial Sweeteners:

  • Hemoglobin A1c…goes up
  • Prediabetes Diagnosis…more likely
  • Glucose Tolerance… goes down
  • Fasting Glucose Numbers…go up
  • Body Weight… goes up
  • Central Obesity… goes up

All of these changes happen when you eat or drink fake sugars, and the more you eat or drink, the worse the effects.

Why Does This Happen With Artificial Sweeteners And Prediabetes?

Artificial Sweeteners:

  1. Kill off the good bacteria in your gut and give the bad bacteria keys to your intestines…causing all sorts of major metabolic problems including insulin resistance!
  2. Trick your body into thinking you just ate sugar…and when your body figures out the sham, you crave carbs and end up eating more…later!
  3. Makes your body release insulin (yes…even though you didn’t eat carbs). Too much insulin stores fat and causes insulin resistance.

Artificial sweeteners are more likely to cause Glucose Intolerance (that is what happens in Prediabetes) than sugar!
