Fasting Blood Glucose: 100 – 125 mg/dL

(or 5.6 mmol/L – 6.9 mmol/L)

Prediabetes Reversed (those glorious numbers you DO want)

A1C: less than 5.7%

(or less than 38.8 mmol/mol)

(or less than 6.5 mmol/L)

Fasting Blood Glucose: less than 100 mg/dL

(or less than 5.6 mmol/l)

NOTE! Do keep in mind that only blood tests done at a lab can confirm you have reversed your Prediabetes.

Just to make sure I'm 100% clear on this point,  home blood testing is normally a smart way for you to know what's going on with your blood sugar numbers...but when it comes to confirming if you've reversed your Prediabetes, DO NOT use home tests.

Instead, get tested at a lab approved by your doctor.

And if you do reverse your Prediabetes, be sure to get tested every 6 months to make sure everything is still ok.

Can I Get Prediabetes Again?

Yes. And the easiest way to explain this is to talk about trains! Stick with me here and you’ll understand in a minute….

Right now you’re on the track to Type 2 Diabetes. You might get there in 5 years, in your lifetime, or if you’re lucky -- not at all.

Type 2 Diabetes Train

Your Diabetes Prevention job right now is to:

1. Slow your train down to a stop

2. Turn your train around
