A lot of ladies ask me why I promote Diabetes Prevention so much…really what's the big deal about Type 2 Diabetes?

There are some things about my life that you don't know. What you're about to read is one of them…and it's one of the main reasons I really push my clients (in a very gentle way) to get their health back --- even when it's hard to do.

About 16 years ago… almost to the day… my husband’s father died when his heart literally exploded in his chest.

He was only 64.

Then about 12 years ago, my husband and I had a kid (my daughter is now 12 years old).

I wonder what my kid’s life would be like if she had a grandpa.

Unfortunately that’s a privilege she’ll never know.

My daughter would have loved her grandpa and I’m sure they would have had many adventures by the sea and exploring the forest trails. I know my daughter and her grandpa would have been good friends for life, I'm sure of it…

Instead all my daughter gets is stories about a man she's never met, pictures in a photo album, and no grandpa to have adventures with.

Not having a grandpa is tough on kids. It’s also tough on adults when they need advice and someone with more experience.

Please listen…if you're wondering if all this eating healthy stuff and exercise stuff is worth it – ask your family.

I think I know the answer.

Diabetes increases Heart Attack risk, plain and simple, and the best thing you can do is reverse your Prediabetes now to avoid such a terrible conclusion to your life.

Rest in peace, Dad.
