4. What Is A Low Carb Diet?

A low carb diet is when you eat 150 grams of net carbs a day or less.

Is a keto diet ok?

NO, a keto diet it is unsustainable, has NO long-term research to support it, and causes other health issues like rebound weight gain, high blood fats, insulin resistance, fatty liver disease, and increased heart disease and dementia risk.

5. What is Insulin Resistance?

Insulin Resistance is when your body makes too much insulin compared to what your body really needs. Making too much insulin is serious AND can cause you to get Type 2 Diabetes.

Walking is a great way to lose weight and get your body sensitive to insulin again. Get a Fitbit and start walking at least an hour a day.

Genes play a very minor role with Type 2 Diabetes. The biggest reason you get Diabetes is your diet and your level of exercise, or because of your meds. Don’t blame your genes and think you have to give up...there's lots you can do to get healthy.
